It had always been a dream of mine to have a pet partner in my practice. When the right time came, I quickly began the process of researching what kind of dog would be an ideal therapy pet. Soon after, I discovered the Daniff breed (https://www.daniffkennelclub.com/), and not too long after that, we stumbled upon the Burkholders in Indiana, who had just advertised our beautiful girl as available. We picked her up on Halloween 2016. Her first home was an absolute oasis, and we could easily tell that she had been greatly cared for. We got to meet her mom, dad and litter mates, and again, she stole our hearts.
Soon after she came home with us, we began the journey together to train to be a therapy team.  Tulip lived and worked with Amanda in practice until February 2022, when unfortunately Tulip passed due to a health issue.  Her healing nature, and sweet natured way of knowing when the hour was about over, will never be forgotten by those who she served.
